On the 27th of May 22 students from the IES Peñas Negras de Mora in Toledo visited the laboratory at University of Castilla-La Mancha as part of the series “Siéntete un científico por un día”/ “Feel like a scientist for one day. During the three hour visit the students had the opportunity to see the work carried out in the laboratory to observe the work carried out in the SCENARIOS project. Students were unfamiliar with PFAS and its effects, so university staff provided a brief introduction to PFAS and SCENARIOS’ main goals, and the personal from Universidad of Castilla-La Mancha focused on presenting the work carried out in the project. There was great interest in the work, and all the students participated enthusiastically. The activity was lead by Natividad Isabel Navarro Pacheco from Universidad of Castilla-La Mancha.

In SCENARIOS we are trying to get the general population to know about the health risks PFAS pose and also the remediation techniques we are applying to tackle the problem.
